Yes please! Angst to fluff maybe?-
The reader finds her walking alone and accompanies her for a bit. Nothing to descriptive, little misfortune can talk about how her parents neglect her? And the reader comforts her? Sorry if this doesn’t make sense-
You don’t have to do it by the way.
moonlight walk with an angel
(little misfortune x gn!reader)
*strictly platonic*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: going to the horror fair was a stupid decision but you needed to get out of the house. finding a little girl who’s walking on her own wasn’t something you planned on doing tonight. but you weren’t going to leave her alone. so you took her hand and the rest is history
Tumblr media
‘phantasmagoria’ you sighed at the stupid name before parking your bike.
soft music played in your earbuds as you watched people walk around the fair with those stupid masks. your eyes rolling on their own as you went up to the ticket booth to purchase some tickets for the rides.
you quickly looked down at the sound of an oof. panicked that you accidentally hurt a child of someone.
your pretty eyes landed on a small girl who rubbed her head before softly whispering, “yikes forever.”
“misfortune, please get back up. we need to get to the end of this fair. and do be more careful of other people around us.”
“yes, mr. voice.” she replied to seemingly no one before getting up.
you noticed she wasn’t accompanied by an adult or anyone for that matter. after you bumped into her, she got up and began talking to herself, her eyes seeming to be searching for something.
“hey, little girl.” you spoke out to her.
she turned towards you and her precious doll like eyes, wondering what you wanted.
“are you here with anybody?”
“misfortune, refrain from speaking to this person. They’re dangerous.” mr. voice spoke to the little girl.
by now, he had realized that you would become an obstacle in his plans. hopefully, he could get misfortune to move along on her own without you following after her.
“hello pretty person,” the little girl gave a bright smile, “don’t tell mommy but I left without her permission. I need to find something for her.”
you titled your head in worry. this small child was traveling on her own..?
“can I accompany you home, honey? I wouldn’t want you walking on your own at this time of day.” you asked her, hoping she would say yes since you didn’t trust anybody in these streets not hurting her.
mr. voice sighed with an annoyed tone, “misfortune, tell them there’s someone waiting for you at the end of the fair and that youll be alright.”
the little girl blinked before slowly nodding her head, “there’s someone waiting for me at the end of the fair. thank you for the offer, pretty person. but I’ll be okay, I’m a little lady, you know.”
“oh,” you replied, making morgo sigh with relief, thinking you gave up on helping the idiotic child, “then I’ll stick by your side until the end of the fair.” you smiled, holding out your hand towards her.
misfortune blinked before giggling and grabbing onto your hand, happy to feel physical affection with someone.
“I’ll buy us some tickets. since someone is waiting for you, we can go on one ride together.” you explained to her, beginning to walk over to the ticket booth with the little girl following closely behind.
‘maybe they won’t be much of a problem. they could provide misfortune with things that I won’t need to give them.’ morgo thought to himself before deciding to stay quiet unless necessary.
you knocked on the glass of the booth, making the guy inside turn towards you with that stupid mask on.
“two tickets, please?” you held out five bucks for the guy to take.
he handed you two tickets before taking your money and turning towards his book once more. you proceeded to smile at misfortune while walking along with her more into the fair.
“this place is scary.” misfortune’s pretty voice whispered as she scooted closer to you.
“don’t worry, love. I’m right here to kick any monster’s butt if they try going near you.” you let go of her hand to give her some head pats, making her frown at the loss of physical affection.
a few steps later, she pulled a bit on your sweater, wanting you attention.
“yes?” you stopped and looked over at her.
“pretty person.. can we hold hands again?” she shyly asked, holding her hand out for you to hold.
you chuckled before grabbing her hand, holding it in yours once more.
“I haven’t asked for your name, sweetheart. do you mind sharing it with me?” you finally asked her.
she nodded before giving you a bright smile, “it’s misfortune.”
after a while, you realized that she was serious. while the word itself did sound pretty, how could a parent ever name their child ‘misfortune?’
“my name is y/n.” she nodded at you before throwing glitter in your direction, making you smile at her precious actions.
“do you know why you were named misfortune?”
she started skipping a bit, her grip on her hand never becoming lose, “mommy doesn’t talk to me much. I’ve never asked her about my name.”
you raised an eyebrow. the way she spoke about these small concerning things made it seem like she didn’t have a very affectionate home style.
“misfortune, are your parents kind?”
“I’m not too sure,” she kicked a rock, “mommy and daddy are always yelling at each other but they don’t do that to me. I haven’t talked to mommy and daddy in a long time.”
‘ah,’ you realized, ‘neglectful parents.’
“have they ever been physically abusive?”
you realized you should’ve worded the sentence better since she probably didn’t understand what that meant.
“mommy has never really hit me. daddy threw a rock at me once, i kept it and gave it a name.”
your eyes widened that she did indeed know what the word meant, “you know big words, misfortune.” you smiled proudly at her.
“I’m a little lady, you know,” she giggled, “I read a lot from the books I find when they fall out of passing cars outside our house.”
you saw a hot dog booth in sight, turning to misfortune, “are you hungry, honey? do you want a hot dog?”
“you know, once I saw a documentary on tv about hot dogs, and now.. I don’t want to eat hot dogs.” she gave a disgusted expression.
you nodded understanding where she was coming from before continuing your walk. a stupid fox stand up float jumped from a stand, scaring both you and misfortune. more misfortune since she screamed and hugged your side, her eyes tightly closed.
“sorry about that.. I was just trying to pull your leg.” mr. voice finally spoke to misfortune again, holding a chuckle in since he was amused at seeing you scared.
“misfortune, are you alright? I’m right here, honey. I won’t let anything harm you.” you reassured her, bending down to give her a small hug, which she quickly returned since she knew she wouldn’t get a hug from someone again.
you let go of her once she calmed down, she pulled her small glitter bag and tossed some towards the float before smiling lovingly, “it looks like benjamin.. but scarier and angrier.”
“who’s benjamin?” you asked as she took your hand again, your walk continuing.
“benji is this really cute fox that I have a crush on.”
yea, you were truly worried about this little girl.
a carousel appeared in sight, “do you wanna go on this ride, hun?”
misfortune thought for a while before shaking her head, “no, let’s go look at the other ones.”
you nodded and continued walking on until the next ride came into view. a small candy booth came after the carousel, pumpkins decorated next to the booth.
“the mean children at school say that I have a pumpkin head.” a pouty look replacing her once excited one.
“well that’s completely not true,” you softly squeezed her small hand, “you’re one of the smartest kids I know, hun.”
she smiled at you, happy that she met you on her adventure for eternal happiness.
“how about some candy?” you offered.
frankly you knew it was bad for a child to eat candy this late, especially if they haven’t eaten. but misfortune happily shook her head so you called out to the cashier and asked him for some candy before paying.
finally making it to the second ride of the fair, you realized it was a haunted house. you figured misfortune would chose the carousel since she was still young and would probably find the ride terrifying.
“oh, sweet! that haunted house must be terrifying.” she exclaimed happily to herself.
“.. is this the ride you want to spend your ticket on?”
“yes!”
so you sighed and gave in before handing both of the tickets to the worker, settling yourself and misfortune into the ride with your seat belts on since it was a small rollercoaster.
the ride was filled with all kinds of horrors, making misfortune yell loudly at times and cling onto you. while you worried for her, you really liked her company and the way she seemed to rely on you this whole trip.
when the ride was over, misfortune held onto her stomach, dizziness written all over her face.
“misfortune? did the ride make you dizzy?” you asked.
she nodded before settling her hand on her mouth.
“do you feel like you’re going to throw up?” mr. voice chimed in once more.
“the ride went a little too fast but I’ll be okay. it was really fun.” she softly shook her head.
“take a deep breath, you’ll feel better soon. It must be the candy you ate before we went on the ride.”
she nodded at your words before taking your hand again, your walk continuing on.
the two of you pushed past some people, a few booths coming into view. you thought maybe they were food stalls again but misfortune noticed the games when you guys got closer.
“oh, there’s a bunch of games here, can I play one?” her excited voice turned towards you, waiting for your permission.
“oh, of course, you must play one before we leave on the boat!” mr. voice gave his opinion, a bit too happy.
misfortune shook her head, her eyes still glued onto you, “I was asking for pretty y/n’s permission to play.”
morgo scoffed before deciding to leave it be. you would leave her alone soon anyway.
“of course you can, misfortune. this is a cool place, don’t you think so?” you asked as she looked at the many games to chose from.
“yea! who wouldn’t think so? I really like this fair.” her eyes landed on a ‘whack-a-fox’ game, pointing over to the game.
“how about that one?”
“go ahead, I’ll be watching.”
misfortune excitedly went over to the game as you followed after her. the game entranced her as she hit every fox on target, scoring points like it was the end of the world. once she had beaten the game, a reward ticket had come out of the side. she excitedly grabbed it before handing it to you and playing some more, other reward tickets being won.
“misfortune, let’s continue on. we’re near the exit and it’s getting late.” you sadly smiled, not wanting to leave the little girl’s side yet.
she nodded before grabbing your hand, a few steps being taken before she spotted cute animal faced balloons.
“pretty y/n, can I get a balloon? because my mommy never gave me one.. so, maybe you can give me one.”
you nodded before looking around for a seller, yet not one in sight. you sighed before setting down the amount required for a balloon and grabbing a pretty pink one and handing it to misfortune.
you thought maybe she would like the color choice since it matched with her cute beret. she happily held her balloon before continuing to walk with you, a fortune teller booth catching her eye.
“sweet, a fortune teller! can I try this?”
the two of you walked over to it and she happily entered a reward ticket, watching the booth light up in such pretty colors.
“hello,” she first greeted the machine, “my name is misfortune ramirez hernandez, and I want to know the future of me, please.”
“thank you.” a small giggle left her mouth as she looked up at the machine, weird noises coming from it.
“once you see the beyond, the beyond sees you. and you can be sure it will be coming for you.” the machine told misfortune.
a small gasp left her precious lips, “the beyond is coming for me?”
you chuckled at how adorable her reaction was.
“hehe, what’s the beyond?” she asked you, her balloon still being held.
“not important. do you want to go again?”
“nah, I’m alright. let’s go to that reward vending machine.” she pointed to the last machine before the exit that led to a boat and a river.
walking over to it, you noticed the little prizes inside. you wondered if she was going to choose all of them since she seemed to have enough rewards for it.
“cool, one of those dolls again! I want it.” misfortune whispered to herself, inserting the rewards as the doll then fell to the machine floor.
you reached in and picked up her doll for her, reading the tag before handing it to her, “reality will transform into what the child desires the most?”
‘talk about deep for a doll.’ you sighed before handing the doll to misfortune who happily held it.
“a desire, you say?” misfortune finished reading off the tag, a small whisper.
“I like desires.” she accidentally said out aloud, making you smile at her and pat her head again.
“what did you choose?” mr. voice asked, now being curious as he realized how close to the exit they were.
“nothing.” misfortune quickly replied, making morgo’s anger rise a bit.
she looked back up at the machine, choosing one last final reward to have.
“that golden chocolate coin looks delicious, I’ll take that!” she happily exclaimed before inserting one more reward ticket.
she grabbed onto your hand again before the two of you finally made it to the end. you sighed before bending down to hug misfortune goodbye.
“be safe on your travels. I don’t want to leave you alone but it seems I have to.” you sadly sighed.
misfortune looked up from admiring her chocolate coin necklace, “don’t be sad, pretty y/n. I’ll see you again soon.”
you slowly nodded, wanting to trust her word. she walked off a bit before turning around, giving you a final tiny wave of goodbye.
you waved back before getting back, going back towards the fair to buy more tickets and go on some rides yourself.
but as you left misfortune, that ugly feeling of something being wrong returned.

(Michael Afton x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the wind that blew at night was always calming. it provided michael with a sense of protection, knowing he could relax in the comforts of his home at night.
of course, the worries of things he needed to do still continued to bother him even at night. how could it not? his father’s misdeeds were something michael would have to carry with him until they were solved.
but when he came home.. he was safe. he was free from those same thoughts. free from the negative views he saw in himself since his childhood.
and in return, michael got to see you at home. his precious partner.
it was calming.
being able to return home to someone who loved him. someone who genuinely wanted to be with him to the point of marriage, which is what your current relationship was together.
michael truly does love you.
you’re everything he’s wanted and everything he doesn’t believe he deserves. but seeing your beautiful smile, your perfect expressions, your adorable actions, the words you whisper to him every night as you reassure him that you aren’t leaving.
so.. maybe michael wants to believe that he deserves you and more.
because if he didn’t, you wouldn’t be right here sleeping peacefully next to him, clinging to him and feeling safe in his arms.
he sighs before placing a sweet kiss on your forehead, wanting nothing more than to freeze into that moment, holding you in his arms, as the wind blows, as that safety he feels continues, as he watches you trust and love him, because truly, all he’s ever wanted was you.
“goodnight, my adorable bunny,” his voice whispered, full of love and protection, proving to you that he’s truly enamored with you.
“i love you.” his last whisper before his grip on you tightened a bit and he fluttered his eyes closed.
“i love you too.” you whispered back, leaving the man to smile as you fell back asleep.
yea, it’s a good night after all.
